Since then Three generations of the Deutsch family have guided the company through the seven decades. This was all celebrated with their customers, long-time companions and friends of the company KARL DEUTSCH. In addition to a top-class conference, the two-day event also offered an exciting and entertaining supporting programme. The anniversary event was opened by Mayor Andreas Mucke. As an engineer himself, he also followed the other presentations with great interest, as he acknowledges how important testing technology is for many branches of industry. The speeches were held by well-known personalities from research, development and the customer base. Prof. Anton Erhard (DGZfP board member) reported on “70 Years of Ultrasonic Testing in Germany” and Dr. Dirk Treppmann (DGZfP board member, Evonik Industries) on the requirements for NDT in chemical plants. More than 200 worldwide guests enjoyed the invitation to Wuppertal. Perfect weather prevailed, the celebration took place on the factory premises, extensively prepared for the event.
